I strongly support the Milwaukee Police Department and believe the "defund movement" is misguided and dangerous. However there are some common sense proposals I would like to make:

  1. Encourage and Pay for EMT Certifications for Officers
  2. Take 30% of Patrol Officers and assign them to stationary outposts in neighborhoods with 2-4 officers being on active duty on each one with foot patrol schedule
  3. Require, and fund, that all Milwaukee Police Officers carry cigarettes to aid in the de-escalation of situations with suspects as well as a tool for building trust them
  4. By 2032 require all Sergeants to obtain a Human Service's Associate, or above, from MATC or better
  5. Expand the CART Program
